On Friday, 20 October 2023, the webinar "Sustainable Solutions for Green Building: Solar Power on Your Balcony" took place.

The event was opened by Oliver Schruoffeneger, a District Councillor of Berlin-Charlottenburg for Public Order, Environment, Roads and Green Space, Berlin. He stressed the importance of the partnership between the cities of Berlin and Kyiv, as well as the humanitarian and technical assistance that the district of Charlottenburg continues to provide to its sister city Kyiv. Julia Eichhofer, Project Coordinator of the wechange eG cooperative and member of the NGO Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V., stressed the need for training in new energy skills for the green reconstruction of Ukraine, which, according to recent estimates, will create more than 4 million new jobs.

Arina Satovska, NGO "Gromada", presented the social project of ecological housing for IDPs "Dodomu", which will receive solar panels as part of a grant from the Nord-Süd-Brücken e.V.

Victoria Vostryakova, Head of the NGO "Sustainable Development Agency SYNERGY", announced a competition for the distribution of balcony solar modules.

Taras Bondarenko, Head of the Electrical Substations Department at Vinnytsia Regional Centre for Electricity Distribution of NPC Ukrenergo, made a presentation on the installation of balcony and facade solar systems in terms of permits and safety. The speaker's presentation is available here.
